Description:
The scarab beetle, a profound symbol of rebirth and the rising sun in ancient Egypt, was believed to mirror the solar god Khepri’s movement across the sky. These iconic amulets were used for protection, as funerary talismans, and as personal seals, embodying the concepts of transformation and eternal life. Phoenician traders later adopted and adapted this motif, spreading the scarab’s cultural and symbolic significance throughout their extensive Mediterranean trade networks.
